Find answers to the most frequent questions we receive from Colombian travelers about ETIAS: applying on behalf of others, minors, payments, and exemptions.
1. Can I apply for ETIAS on behalf of a family member or friend?
- You need a signed declaration from both parties.
- Keep a signed copy; you may need to show it at the airport.
2. No group or family applications
Each passport requires its own ETIAS: multiple applicants cannot be included in a single application.
3. Where and how to pay the ETIAS fee
- Payment is made online with an international debit or credit card.
- Visa and Mastercard are accepted.
- Payments are managed by authorized banks; ETIAS does not retain card data.
4. Special exemptions
- Citizens of the United Kingdom under the Withdrawal Agreement.
- Applicants under 18 years old and over 70 years old (exempt from the fee).
- Persons with disabilities (exempt from the fee).
5. Final recommendations
- Apply for your ETIAS at least 72 hours before travel.
- Always use the official EU website to avoid intermediaries.
- Keep a digital copy of your authorization and payment confirmation.
