Exhort or commissory dispatch

Request made by a Colombian judicial or administrative authority to the Colombian consul to carry out a certain procedure that he/she is authorized to carry out in the framework of an international treaty or foreign laws, provided that:

Request made by a Colombian or foreign judicial authority to its counterpart authority abroad to carry out a judicial proceeding, the taking of evidence or to provide information in the framework of a judicial process, provided that there is no international judicial cooperation agreement between the respective countries.

Request by a Colombian authority for the testimony of a foreign diplomatic agent, a member of his entourage or family, or for information or documentation at the embassy of a foreign nation, within the framework of a judicial process.

Filing of the application

The forwarding of any of these requests with their attachments must be made to and from the following e-mail address judicial@cancilleria.gov.co. In the event that physical documents are required, they must be submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Directorate of Migratory and Consular Affairs and Citizen Services, Bogotá, Cr. 5 # 09 – 03, from 7:30 to 12:30 and from 2:00 to 3:30.

Cost

The procedure carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is completely free of charge.
